Pope Giovanni XXIII

 

Pope Giovanni XXIII, born Angelo Giuseppe Roncalli, in Sotto il Monte, Bergamo the November 25, 1881, and died in Vatican City on June 3, 1963. He was elected Pope on October 28, 1958.  He is remembered as the "good Pope".

 

 

One of the most famous speeches of Pope Giovanni, perhaps one of the most famous speeches in the history of the Church, is what now is known as ' The Moon ' speech. Of October 11, 1962, containing: «coming home, you will find children. Date a caress to your children and say: this is the caress of the Pope. You will find a few tears to dry, say a good word: the Pope is with us, especially in the hours of sadness and bitterness. » Words that have conquered and moved the entire world.
